چکیده
In this work, we have developed a simple method to carry out the quantitative analysis of deethylhydroxyatrazine (DEHA), most abundant metabolite atrazine herbicide (ATZ), based on surface-enhanced Raman scattering technique. Since ATZ product can undergo pH-dependent tautomerization, previous characterization DEHA vibrational spectrum was accomplished. This study consisted study, both experimental and theoretical, enolic ketonic tautomers molecule. SERS spectra were recorded at different pH in order assess effect metal surface nanoparticles along with structure find optimal conditions detection DEHA. Additionally, interaction two types humic acid reference standards, Elliot leonardite ones, also performed by SERS. conducted objectives: evaluate mechanism degradation substances check if modify sensitivity The results presented clearly demonstrated that spectroscopy is very powerful technique for characterizing other triazine sub-products low concentration water analyzing these important pollutants substances.

We present an introduction to surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) which reviews the basic experimental facts and the essential features of the mechanisms which have been proposed to account for the observations. We then review very recent fundamental developments which include: SERS from single particles and single molecules; SERS from fractal clusters and surfaces; and new insights into t...

© 2007 American Institute of Physics, S-0031-9228-0711-020-6 When light interacts with matter, it can scatter inelastically from vibrational quantum states. During that process, photons may lose energy to, or gain it from, vibrational excitations. A change in the photon energy must produce a concomitant shift in the frequency of the scattered light (see box 1). The phenomenon, called the Raman ...

On the basis of different types of experiments, we develop implicitly the model of surfaceenhanced Raman scattering (SERS) of adsorbates on metal s u r f a c g . The long-range enhancement by resonances of the macroscopic laser and Stokes field is separated quantitatively from the metal eledmn-mediated resonance Raman effect. The latter mechanism proceeds b y increased electron-photon coupling ...

This review covers from the basic principles of Raman spectroscopy to the advanced technique of surface enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) spectroscopy. After briefly going through the description of Raman and introduction of the development of SERS, the article will focus on the “hotspot” of the current research work on SERS – single molecule spectroscopy. We will see later that “hotspot” is als...

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disorder that requires careful regulation of blood-glucose levels in order to maintain the health of diabetic patients. Failure to regulate these levels within tight limits leads to severe secondary health complications to the diabetics’ retina, kidneys, nerves, and circulatory system [1]. Most commonly, diabetics measure blood-glucose levels four to six times per...
